Global Castings is the alliance of two 50:50 joint ventures between the German Rheinmetall AG and the Chinese HUAYU Automotive Systems Co. Ltd (HASCO), a subsidiary of the Chinese SAIC Group. Members of the alliance are the two large groups KS HUAYU AluTech Group in Germany and HASCO KSPG Nonferrous Components Co. Ltd (KPSNC) in Shanghai, China.
HASCO and Rheinmetall each hold 50 % of the companies.
As a leading automotive supplier of lightweight casted aluminium components, KS HUAYU and KPSNC each operate production facilities in Germany and in China, respectively.
